This tragic story of a father's desperate love comes to life with Verdi's beloved melodies, including "Caro nome," "La donna č mobile," "Questo o quella," and the famous Act III quartet. Internationally acclaimed director Elijah Moshinsky brings his innovative production from Opera Australia.
Hailed in San Francisco for his rendition of the title role, baritone Christopher Robertson alternates with Opera Pacific favorite Louis Otey (Germont in our 1999 La Traviata). Covent Garden star Elena Kellissidi and Jane Giering-DeHaan appear as Gilda, with New York City Opera tenors Andrew Richards (Macduff in Macbeth) and Raul Hernandez as the Duke of Mantua. |
