“Mozart's charming comedy is a delight to the ear from the start to the finish.” ~ Maestro John DeMain

What better way to be abducted and held hostage than on the Orient Express? Join two beautiful young women, restrained against their will, as they thwart the amorous advances of their Turkish captors. Our fantastic new production is the perfect setting for romance, trickery, and hilarity as two young Englishmen strive to free their fiancés from the harem of the Pasha Selim. Travel with us from Istanbul to Paris in less than three hours upon the Orient Express! The genius of Mozart animates this delightful story in a charming new production directed by James Robinson with sets by Alan Moyer and costumes by Anna Oliver. Climb aboard and join a cast led by Jan Grissom as the kidnapped Costanze, Shawn Mathey as her ardent lover Belmonte, and Kurt Link as the stern but henpecked harem guard Osmin. Renowned British conductor Jane Glover makes her Opera Pacific debut on the podium.
